Former Republican candidate Rudy “911″ Giuliani asked why Hillary Clinton wasn’t picked by Sen. Barack Obama to be his running mate on the Democratic ticket. Seems the Republicans can’t get enough of Hillary Clinton and here pantsuits and are using the former Democratic presidential candidate as cannon fodder to create a rift in the Democratic party.

It isn’t working.

Hillary Clinton gave a poingant speech that called for unity as well as a sense of urgency among Democrats to defeat McCain at any cost. The Republicans are gleefully regurgitating her pointed attacks on Obama when they were running against each other for nomination but the feces they’re slinging is only working to create a more unified front in the Democratic party.

Hillary Clinton also released her delegates at the Democratic National Convention, freeing them to back Obama. “Were you in this campaign just for me,” she asked, or for the people who have suffered under eight years of George W. Bush?

Some unnamed author at FT.com speculates about the sincerity of Mrs. Clinton’s words and actions, stating the following…

Mrs. Clinton is sure to be hoping that Mr Obama will lose in November, since this will give her another chance to be president. But she betrayed no hint of it. If Mr Obama should lose, any trace of blame attaching to Mrs Clinton would rule her out for 2012.

blah, blah, blah… More hot air from the right wing who are pushing a 72 year old candidate who can’t even remember how many houses he owns or the 74 flip-flops he’s had in his political positions since he has been an elected official.

Is anybody getting sick and tired of this election already? Seems like it’s gon on for far too long and I’m certain most of America is ready to fast forward to the future and be done with this tawdry popularity competition once and for all.

John McCain had a senior moment on Wednesday when he said “that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.”

“I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain said. “It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.” McCain responded in an interview with Politico.

Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine poked fun at the sheer lunacy of McCain’s statement saying “He couldn’t answer that question. He couldn’t count high enough, apparently, to even know how many houses he owns.”
