NY Governor Eliot Spitzer linked to prostitution ring

Eliot-Spitzer.jpgIn 2004, while he was the Attorney General for New York, current Governor oversaw the prosecution of a 16-person prostitution ring based on Staten Island. A 45-year-old Staten Island man was sentenced to two to six years in jail for the ring which Spitzer said ran from 1997 to 2004 and brought in millions of dollars. Now it appears the first-term Democrat who pledged to bring ethics reform and end the often seamy ways of Alban has been caught with his pants down in a prostitution scandal of his own. Spitzer is married with three children.

The New Your Times is naming Governor Spitzer as “client #9″ Emperor’s Club VIP and According to the report by the Times, Spitzer cancelled all public events today after a meeting with his top aides early this afternoon. Spitzer is scheduled to make an announcement Monday afternoon. Spitzer officials wouldn’t immediately comment on the story.

Is Larry Craig Gay or is he Lying ?

Larry Craig is Gay The Idaho Statesman has released an article detailing the account of eight different men who are claiming to have had sexual encunters with or to have been propositioned by the disgraced Idaho Senator Larry Craig. Craig is still hanging to his defense that he’s innocent and that he’s not a homosexual or bisexual although there is more than ample evidence to point to the fact thst Craig is lying through his teeth. For the last 25 years, Sen. Larry Craig has not only denied wrongdoing in the 1982 page scandal but has insisted he was not among seven House members accused of homosexual conduct. If it is uncovered that he has lied all of this time he should be not only removed from political life, he should be sentenced to prison for lying under oath.

An excerpt from the story : More gay men describe sexual encounters with U.S. Sen. Craig

blockquote But the Statesman’s investigation, which included reviews of travel and property records and background checks on all five men, found nothing to disprove the five new accounts. The men offer telling and sometimes similar details about what happened, or the senator’s travel records place him in the city where sex is alleged to have occurred, or his accusers told credible witnesses at the time of the incident.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Craig has also elected to use campaign funds for his legal defense. His decision to use campaign funds for his criminal defense appears to conflict with federal election law, according to a watchdog group who has been following the since it broke earlier this year. Federal law prohibits the use of campaign funds for expenses unrelated to the duties of an officeholder or a candidate so Craig may be looking at even more charges by the time the truth about Craig’s activity is out of the closet.

Red Cross President Forced to Resign. Another Republican Sex Scandal.

The Red Cross  It seems the words “sex scandal” and “Republican” go hand in hand these days. So is it any suprise that The American Red Cross has forced it’s president and chief executive, Mark W. Everson, to resign yesterday because he had an inappropriate relationship with a female subordinate? Mr. Everson’s forced resignation was yet another blow to the Red Cross, the flailing agency has faced a rapid turnover in leadership and has struggled to restore its reputation which was tremendously damaged by it’s lackluster response to Hurricane Katrina. The agency’s fifth chief in six years, Everson was at the helm of the federally chartered organization for a mere six months before the news broke about the former Bush administration leaders involvment in yet another .

In an unusually candid news release, the Red Cross said its board “concluded that the situation reflected poor judgment on Mr. Everson’s part and diminished his ability to lead the organization in the future.”

The Red Cross had high hopes for Everson, who had served in the Bush administration since 2001, most recently as commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service and before that as deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget. He was considered a seasoned leader, skilled at navigating the politics of Washington and capable of managing the ’s more than 700 chapters.

’s comments on the sex scandal that forced him to resign:

blockquote I am resigning my position for personal and family reasons and deeply regret it is impossible for me to continue in a job so recently undertaken. I leave with extraordinary admiration for the American Red Cross, the service its men and women provide our nation, and for the humanitarian work of the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement across the world.

If this man was legitimately concerned about “his family”, he might have thought twice about keeping his mahoood in his pants instead of dragging his family name through the mud because he can’t control his sexual impulses. After all, the Republican Party stands for “family values” however, it’s clear that when they mean “family values”, the mean for everybody else and not for themselves.
